Derek Bloom was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, and moved to Southern California about six years ago. He loves to do improv and is a student at the Groundlings Improvisation School in West Hollywood.  He loves acting, playing tennis, biking, and just relaxing with friends. Derek goes to school in San Diego, but he drives himself to Los Angeles for acting jobs and for Kids on the Porch every single week.  Derek loves acting and is excited for the road ahead.  He is thrilled to be part of Kids On The Porch playing Michael, and he says “it is a really fun character for me to play.”  Derek is very fun loving and he always has a smile on his face.
