According to 2009 bullying statistics, over 75% of students are subject to harassment by a bully.

Over one half of bullying events go unreported.

2009 STATISTICS:

Over 100,000 children carried guns to school as a result of being bullied.
On a daily average 160,000 children miss school because they fear they will be bullied if they attend classes.
Every half hour 19,000 bullied children attempt suicide over the course of one year.

MORE STATISTICS:

According to the results of the first national survey on bullying, thirty percent (30%) of U.S. students in grades six through ten are involved in moderate or frequent bullying as bullies, as victims, or as both.

TIPS FOR A NO BULLY FREE ZONE:

Never take on a bully yourself. Instead, tell the nearest teacher or other school administrator.
Remember, bullying comes in many forms. Never judge a book by its cover.
You know that saying “sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me.” Well, words do hurt, and while physical wounds may heal, emotional scars may last forever. Think before you speak.

Stacie Michelle Torres is a fifth generation California native and resides in Ventura County. She enjoys acting, dancing, writing, cheerleading, playing volleyball and hanging out with her family and friends. Stacie has performed in numerous school plays, attended local theatre camps, and recently filmed a student educational film. Currently, she studies dance at the Camarillo Academy for Performing Arts. In her free time, Stacie likes to volunteer with the National Charity League where she has donated numerous hours to the Douglas Penfield School for the Developmentally Disabled, Special Olympics and Habitat for Humanity.

Truman Ngo is 14 years old, born in Seattle WA. Truman has been given a gifted, artful mind for acting and directing since he was a little boy. He loves to create plays for his siblings to perform in front of family. His first role was as “Demetrius” in A Mid Summer Nights Dream. He has trained in: cold reading, TV and commercial print, life skill, improvisation, and monologues. His first successful competition was at the IPOP convention in Vegas 2010. He was the top ten Headshot and commercial winner, and was chosen to be one of the “Jonas Brothers” for the convention’s final showcase. He is excited to be one of the cast members of Kids On the Porch and looks forward to being a double threat as one of the best actors and directors in Hollywood.

Alvina Ngo

Alvina Ngo was born in Seattle, WA twelve years ago. She has just seriously started to have a passion for acting, singing and dancing after joining the JRP group to attend the Las Vegas IPOP convention 2010. Alvina has trained in cold reading, improvisation, commercial, print, life skills, monologue, and hip-hop dance. As a contestant @ the IPOP convention, she was the top 10 finalist winner for Headshot and commercial print. She was also chosen to perform as a dancer for Beyonce’s “Single Ladies,” at the convention’s final showcase. At school, she is a great student that participates in numerous activities including: plays and choir. She is excited to be one of the cast member for Kids On the Porch.

Alexa is a vibrant energetic young actor and a rock star in the making. Alexa plays the guitar, keyboard and piano and has an amazing voice. Alexa has amassed quite a resume which includes feature and short films, PSA’s, theatre, and documentaries; plus Alexa graces the cover of three movie posters and three dvd inserts. Alexa is currently working on a feature film and looks forward to many more future projects. Alexa is grateful to be a member of Kids On The Porch

Kenneth Sambula Jr ( stage name: K-Ledani) was born in Los Angeles, California on October 26, 2000. He currently resides in Arvin, California. K-Ledani has always loved to entertain people and make them laugh. Ever since the age of three, he could run lines along with the characters he watched on TV. At age six, he attended The Spotlight Theatre of Arts School in Bakersfield, CA for two years. The moment he stepped on stage in front of a live audience; he knew acting was his calling. At age eight; he received professional training from John Robert Powers. During this time, he discovered writing commercial scripts. Now he writes TV and movie scripts. K-Ledani hopes to produce and direct his work one day. He is excited to part of Kids on the Porch.
